53 year old female with unreduced dislocation of knee
53 years, moderately obese female came to me with a locked knee of 15 days after her fall. She had an unstable knee for last 2 years due to prev injury with few falls but never had any locking or any other joint problems. She used to walk 1-2 KMS before her recent injury.
On examination, it is a KD3 or 4 with a locked knee. Hop, ankle and spine is normal. There is no NVD or any other joint involvement. Reduction was tried under anesthesia but failed.
It is button holing so open reduction is a must. I need inputs for line of management.
