Possible Hip Capsule Sprain
34y/o female 2.5 years of pain after trying to stay on a horse that was bucking, mostly hurts buttock/lateral with intermittent groin pain. No relief with physical therapy. Exam shows groin pain with terminal flexion/internal rotation as well as trochanteric tenderness. Abductor strength intact. MRI Scan with possible capsular tear which I haven't run into before. Have her coming in for trochanteric injection this week. If no improvement would you scope the hip since there may be a cam lesion, occult labral tear?
