OVERVIEW

On behalf of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), the Japanese Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (JASCC), and the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO), I am delighted to invite you to join me at the 2023 Annual Meeting in Nara, Japan. Mark your calendars now for June 22-24, 2023!

The MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting is the foremost international and interdisciplinary conference on supportive cancer care. It covers the entire spectrum of problems experienced by patients as a result of their cancer and cancer treatment.

Rapid advances in cancer treatment have led to numerous innovations in supportive care. At the Annual Meeting, you’ll discover what’s new and what’s on the horizon in the diverse and exciting field of supportive care. Our 2023 Annual Meeting will be held in partnership with our affiliate organization JASCC.

The main themes of the meeting will be:

  • Overall Theme: Interdisciplinary Nature of Supportive Cancer Care
  • Robotics and Digital Medicine
  • Disparities in the Availability of Supportive Care
  • When Evidence-Based Medicine Meets Traditional Medicine
  • Sessions on the Various MASCC/JASCC/ISOO Study Group Topics

It will be three days of cutting-edge research, engaging presentations and many networking activities. We look forward to providing opportunities for you to present your research.

Our 2023 Annual Meeting will be hosted in Nara, Japan. Explore this ancient city, home to three UNESCO World Heritage sites, comprising Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara, Buddhist Monuments in the Horyuji Area, and Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. To visit these is to understand Nara’s contributions to the history and culture of Japan, and its relationship to the rest of the world. Filled with natural beauty, charming townscapes, and National Treasures, Nara is less than an hour by train from Kyoto and Osaka, and easily accessible from Tokyo.
