Overview
The 20th Annual CU Sports Medicine Fall Symposium will be held Friday, September 19th at the Stadium Club at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. The focus of this year's course is on the diagnosis, treatment, and rehab of lower extremity injuries.
The conference will offer an in-person and virtual option, but the virtual option will not be live streamed. Recorded presentations will be sent to both virtual and in-person attendees after the conference. CME credit will only be offered for the in-person attendees. We cannot offer CME credit to virtual attendees. CEU's will be offered to both in-person and virtual attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Identify available graft options, evidence based benefits and risks of each graft type, and how to select the ideal ACL reconstruction graft for patient characteristics
- Analyze the etiology of hip disorders and participate in Hip Preservation by detecting hip pathology early and treating or referring appropriately based on available evidence based guidelines
- Identify the correct exam and imaging features used to diagnose cartilage injuries and integrate with evidence based literature in treatment of these injuries
- Identify the best rehabilitation methods in order to safely return an athlete to play
- Identify current biologic treatments available for symptomatic osteoarthritis, summarize available outcome evidence, and apply indications in clinical practice

University of Colorado Sports Medicine (BOC AP# P3598) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This course is eligible for a maximum of 8.25 Category A CEUs. ATs should claim only those house spent in the educational program. This course is approved as an Orthopedic Specialty course. Both in-person and virtual attendees will receive CEUs.
