Event info

This two day conference will educate attendees on the treatment of the most challenging and difficult complex reconstruction and orthopaedic infection cases. World-renowned experts on orthopedic revisions and musculoskeletal oncology will lecture on the latest technology and technique developments, allowing ample time for discussion. Attendees will discuss and debate, and come to a consensus on treating complex cases. The course is not designed to discuss only “good” results, but the worst, most difficult cases and problems we all face. Our bad outcomes or “DISASTERS” concept is a simple one: we all learn more from our mistakes.

TARGET AUDIENCE
In addition to orthopedic oncologists and revision specialists, this year’s conference has been expanded to include subject matter appropriate for practicing physicians, Residents/Fellows in training, and Nurses who may encounter infections.

OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate and weigh multiple surgical treatment options for complex reconstructions
  • Have a greater awareness of the latest technology available for difficult infection situations
  • Cite the latest clinical findings on complex reconstruction outcomes
  • Anticipate and be pro-active for common complex reconstruction post-operative complications
