Dr. Okafor provides musculoskeletal care with the goal of relieving joint problems caused by arthritis, aging, injuries and fractures. In addition to providing general orthopaedic care, he has subspecialty fellowship training in hip and knee replacement surgery. He also specializes in revision joint reconstruction surgery, partial joint replacements, arthroscopy and joint preservation procedures which may prevent or delay the need for total joint replacement. Dr. Okafor employs the most innovative non-surgical and surgical methods to relieve joint problems and return individuals to an active and healthy lifestyle. He has collaborated on clinical research projects and presented at professional conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He was born in Sierra Leone and has lived in a few countries including Nigeria and Trinidad & Tobago, before moving to the United States for his medical education and training. He earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta GA; completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester, NY; and then pursued a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
