LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the appropriate diagnosis of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis symptoms from cross-disciplinary perspectives to ensure early intervention.
  • Employ appropriate strategies to diagnose and treat comorbidities associated with psoriatic disease.
  • Outline the safety, efficacy & role of current & emerging treatments in addressing skin & joint symptoms for PsO and PsA, including complex psoriatic disease presentations, skin of color, AAD-NPF PsO treatments guidelines & ACR-NPF PsA treatment guidelines.
  • Identify tools that different providers can use when screening for comorbid conditions related to PsO and PsA.
  • Recognize and incorporate best practices (clinical pearls) regarding assessment, management and treatment options for psoriatic disease.
  • Apply a patient-centric, collaborative care and appropriate shared management model for treatment of individuals living with psoriatic disease and how to establish an integrated practice setting or collaboration.
