OVERVIEW

The purpose of this CME activity is to interactively discuss and educate gastroenterologists, hepatologists, surgeons and advanced hepatology care providers regarding topics in hepatic diseases and liver transplantation, with a focus on the multidisciplinary approach. The Hepatology Masterclass serves all levels of physicians and advanced practice providers and will address this gap using high-level didactics, case discussions, and interactive break-out sessions

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Describe the state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic tools for hepatobiliary neoplasia.
  2. Review the assessment and treatment of alcohol-associated liver disease.
  3. Demonstrate the assessment and treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
  4. Apply advanced management for portal hypertensive complications including interventional radiology and endoscopic approaches.
  5. Explain the role of multidisciplinary approaches to treating liver disease.
  6. Describe updates in liver transplantation and explain where the future of liver transplantation is headed.
