Overview

The purpose of this activity is to update community neurologists and pediatric neurologists, as well as other healthcare providers working in epilepsy centers across the Chicagoland area, in the advancements in epilepsy diagnosis and treatment. 

Objectives
  1. Recognize the principles of multimodal imaging technologies and the impact for the treatment of surgical epilepsies.
  2. Discuss newly approved medications.
  3. Review treatment of special populations affected by epilepsy.
  4. Examine surgical procedures for intractable epilepsy and their indications.
  5. Demonstrate how to counsel patients appropriately on safety and mortality issues.
Registration

The early bird registration fee is $80 for physicians, $40 for nurses and techs, and $0 for trainees and students. After April 19, the registration fee is $100 for physicians, $60 for nurses and techs, and $20 for trainees and students. 

Accreditation

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation Statement

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
