The Orthobiologics Summit will focus on current and emerging orthobiologic approaches including the use of platelet-rich plasma, cell-based therapies, and technologies emering in the field. The summit will review current state of the art therapies and identify knowledge gaps in emerging orthobiologics treatments for musculoskeletal conditions, including articular cartilage, muscle, tendon, and bone injuries. This will allow practitioners who are applying these orthobiologic procedures to improve their practice. For those who are not applying them, it will allow them to familiarize and consider utilization when indicated. The summit will provide a forum for open discussion and for presenting the evidence supporting the use of orthobioligcs for the treatment and care of our patients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By Attending, You Will Be Able To:

  • Assess and interpret the evidence to support the use of available orthobiologics in clinical practice;
  • Recognize the challenges and controversies on orthobiologics;
  • Develop a space for practitioners to compare and evaluate evidence-based concepts regarding orthobiologics to allow integration of these novel treatments to their armamentarium;
  • Utilize current orthobiologic treatments in the management of musculoskeletal conditions.
