OVERVIEW

According to the American Psychiatry Association, 75% of patients have experienced at least one symptom of stress in the last month. Forty-five percent of them noted poor sleep quality as the main concern. Stress is ubiquitous in today’s modern world and there’s no doubt we’re living in a time where the load of stress is starting to erode our resiliency in ways that are leading to more chronic illness.

In addition, we are just beginning to understand the long-term effects of COVID-19 on the human body. While most patients will recover from the acute symptoms of COVID-19 relatively quickly, COVID-induced stress can cause physiologic disruptions for months after the initial infection. For long-haul COVID patients, it is important to understand and treat the impact of ongoing/chronic inflammation, HPA axis dysfunction, and damage to the autonomic nervous system.

This two-day, interactive symposium will provide clinicians with easy-to-implement tools and a step-by-step guide to becoming a catalyst for patient transformation, chronic disease prevention and health promotion.
