Join us for a unique summit tackling the latest issues in valve disease, structural interventions, advanced imaging as well as artificial intelligence.

Since 1995, no hospital in the country has ranked higher than Cleveland Clinic in cardiac care and we invite you to join us for the 22nd Valve Disease, Structural Interventions, and Diastology/Imaging Summit which will focus on mitral, aortic and tricuspid valve diseases. The latest advances in structural interventions including TAVR, percutaneous mitral repair, valve-in-valve procedures and LAA occluder devices will be addressed as well as case-based lectures and workshops about strain, 3-D, and contrast echo.

This course will provide a unique opportunity to receive updates in new and emerging topics from basic to advanced imaging techniques including 3-D echocardiography, fusion imaging, strain imaging, interventional echo as well as MRI/CT. New guidelines will be discussed in addition to advances in pericardial and myocardial diseases. There will be an update on artificial intelligence.

New this year will be an optional hands-on learning lab demonstrating the use of 3D transesophageal echocardiography and multiplanar reconstruction for the preprocedural evaluation and intraprocedural guidance of structural heart interventions. Structural heart disease topics will include 3D evaluation of the interatrial septum, mitral and tricuspid valves.

Improve Your Knowledge To:

  • Apply echocardiography to diagnose the severity, mechanism, etiology, and hemodynamic impact
of the many types of valve disease, including mitral regurgitation, mitral stenosis, aortic stenosis,
aortic regurgitation and tricuspid valve disorders
  • Assess the most recent innovations in structural interventions and describe their clinical use
  • Translate new guideline criteria on imaging into current decision-making regarding structural
valve interventions, medical treatment, and surgical valve repair/replacement
  • Utilize echocardiographic imaging for imaging before, during, and after interventional procedures,
closure of periprosthetic leaks, valve-in-valve repair, LAA closure, and tricuspid repair
  • Discuss multimodality imaging techniques, including 3-D echocardiography, fusion imaging,
strain imaging, MRI/CT as well as contrast echo
  • Describe clinical methods to diagnose diastolic dysfunction and manage disorders such as
heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, cardiac amyloidosis, complicated pericarditis and
    hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
  • Discuss role of clinical indications and emerging uses of contrast echocardiography
  • Learn what artificial intelligence is and how to use in clinical practice

Who Should Attend?

Noninvasive and invasive cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, sonographers, nurses, fellows, cardiology nurse practitioners, and physician assistants will benefit from attending this summit.

Cleveland Clinic has ranked as the nation’s #1 heart care program for 24 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report.
