Requirements for successful completion: In order to receive credit, participants must view all audio-visual presentations and complete both the pre-test, post-test and evaluation form. Participants must score 100% on the activity post-test in order to receive credit. There are no pre-requisites for this activity. Course attendance verification forms are provided upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form. No partial credit will be given.

Target Audience: Physicians, residents and trainees, fellows, nurses, surgical techs, physical therapists, and other members of the allied health community whose scope of practice encompasses Pediatrics or Orthopaedics.

Course Description: In this live webinar, expert Pediatric, Sports Medicine, Shoulder/Elbow, Adult Reconstruction, Musculoskeletal Radiology will present optimal operable techniques and treatment options to address PRISM Presents...Hip Pain in Adolescent Athletes: Diagnosis and Management. The webinar features time for interactive audience discussion and surgical case based scenarios.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to discuss:

  1. Identify the physical exam findings for adolescents with hip pain and identify the differential diagnosis to include avulsion injuries around the pelvis, residual acetabular dysplasia, and femoroacetabular impingement.
  2. Review the radiographic work up and findings for adolescent patients with avulsion injuries around the pelvis, developmental hip dysplasia, and femoroacetabular impingement.
  3. Identify nonoperative management strategies for adolescent patients with avulsion injuries around the pelvis, developmental hip dysplasia, and femoroacetabular impingement.
  4. Identify surgical indications and management of avulsion injuries around the pelvis, developmental hip dysplasia and femoracetabular impingement in adolescent athletes.

Credits: This lecture qualifies for 2 CME credit hours.
