39 y.o. Male with Distal Biceps Rupture
By Fizan Younis
39 year old male who presented 4 weeks following a distal biceps rupture at the musculo-tendinous junction of his dominant right arm. MR scan showed complete rupture with 1-2cm gap at the musculo-tendinous junction.
He is a heavy labourer and a Jujitsu instructor. He is now nearly 5 weeks from his injury. Musculo-tendinous junction ruptures have been treated successfully non-operatively but we wonder whether this is appropriate for a high demand individual such as this. We would be grateful for any suggestions regarding his management.
