By francisco fontes cintra

A 68 year old patient 6 weeks after total knee arthroplasty evolved with prolonged serous drainage. Patient was debrided 3 times. 22 cultures were colected intra-operative, all negative, without use of antibiotics. CRP, ESR and blood count were normal (collected 5 times). The knee is without signs of inflammation. Incisions are healed, but with continuos joint effusion. X-ray shows well cemented and positioned scorpio knee arthroplasty. Range of motion: 0 to 120 degrees. Do this think this is an allergy or infection (if so, what bacteria?
