Lung cancer remains atop the leader board as the primary cause of cancer deaths in women and men. This disease alone is responsible for almost a quarter of cancer-related mortalities. With screening being done in less than 10% of those at risk, better treatment strategies are urgently needed. This conference will provide evidence-based resources to address the challenges associated with the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, as well as evolving therapies.

Gastrointestinal cancers encompass a wide range of organ systems from the esophagus to the rectum including hepatobiliary and pancreas. The purpose of the GI session is to improve cancer care for patients throughout the regions.  This year, the conference will focus on patients while exploring the comprehensive aspects of cancer care such as nutrition, genetic testing, fertility preservation, pain management, and survivorship as well as reviewing some controversial management in rectal cancer and cholangiocarcinoma.

Target Audience

This conference is intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists; primary care providers; nurse practitioners; physician assistants; nurses; respiratory therapists; fellows and residents caring for patients with thoracic and GI cancers.
