For nearly two decades, this annual symposium has brought together health care providers – physicians, nurses, medical students, specialists and more – to enhance their understanding of women’s health and sex and gender differences and strengthen the care they provide.

 EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Develop and employ strategies to help people increase physical activity.
  • Improve participants’ knowledge of heart failure and understanding of medical therapies for heart failure.
  • Recognize how men and women present differently with cardiac arrhythmias. Understand how sex differences impact treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Identify strategies to address social determinants of health related needs in their places of work or medical practice.
  • Apply the current evidence-based strategies to reduce burnout.

TARGETED AUDIENCE

This program is designed to meet the educational needs of a diverse group of healthcare providers: physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical students, cardiac rehabilitation specialists, diabetes educators and many others caring for women and their families.

ACCREDITATION

The University of Colorado School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
