OVERVIEW

Mark your calendar to join the Clinical Neurological Society of America for the inaugural California Congress of Clinical Neurology. The meeting will take place September 24-25, 2022 in San Diego, California. 

TARGET AUDIENCE

The California Congress of Clinical Neurology is designed to provide practicing neurologists with the most up-to-date information for the diagnosis and management of the patient with neurologic conditions. Each section is built around a specific clinical topic and is presented by experts who provide practical information for evaluation and treatment of patients with neurological conditions.  

This meeting is designed primarily for practicing neurologists. Other health care providers including fellows, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, social workers, doctors of pharmacy and neuropsychologists who work in patient care may benefit. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this CME activity, learners should be able to:

  • Identify novel laboratory tests for use in the diagnosis of cognitive and movement disorders. 
  • Discuss emerging therapies for Alzheimer’s disease. 
  • Explain strategies for management of cognitive and psychiatric problems in Parkinson’s disease. 
  • Outline appropriate use of deep brain stimulation in early-stage Parkinson’s disease. 
  • Describe new medications for treating headache according to current clinical practice guidelines. 
  • Discuss new approaches and medications for treating patients with epilepsy.  
  • Describe the relationship between Epstein-Barr virus and multiple sclerosis. 
  • Explain how to use advanced diagnostics for stroke.  
  • Explain management approaches for patients with acquired inflammatory myopathy. 

ACCREDITATION
