OVERVIEW

The virtual 2022 Community Oncology Advocacy Summit is an exciting day that recharges the advocacy spirit and informs attendees on the latest issues impacting cancer care in America. Industry experts and oncologists from around the country teach attendees how to make a difference.

If you don’t know what issues your cancer community is facing, you can’t represent them to policymakers. At the Advocacy Summit, attendees learn about the biggest issues facing community oncology and the most effective ways to communicate with decision makers.

More than half of the cancer care in America is provided by community oncologists, and this Summit helps protect the preferred cancer care setting for Americans. “Graduates” of the Community Oncology Advocacy Summit leave equipped to tell their representatives and policymakers about concrete solutions to improve the cancer care experience.

WHY ATTEND THE SUMMIT?

Cancer care isn’t simple. Being an effective advocate means understanding multiple issues from different perspectives and communicating your position clearly and succinctly. Attending the Community Oncology Advocacy Summit provides a comprehensive look at the issues impacting cancer care today and tomorrow.

The policy experts who have their finger on the pulse of Washington will provide attendees with a look at the hot-button items being considered by Congress and government agencies. Physicians will provide a perspective from on the ground, telling advocates about the biggest challenges they face and what resources they need. To complete the package, leadership and communications experts will explore the value of personalized messaging and creating tight, effective advocacy materials.
