OVERVIEW

This virtual event will feature in-depth multidisciplinary discussions of pituitary disorders, sellar tumors and reconstructive skull-base surgeries from the endocrinology, neurosurgery, radiology and radiation oncology perspectives. This event is intended for endocrinologists, neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, PCPs, APPS, radiation oncologists, neurologists, family medicine and internal medicine physicians, physicians in training and other allied health professionals who treat and manage patients with pituitary diseases.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • To have a deeper understanding on how to improve the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer and pituitary disorders.
  • Discover and analyze advances in technology such as cutting edge neuroimaging and tumor markers for management of patients with cancer and pituitary conditions.
  • Characterize manifestations, diagnostic management approaches and outcomes for patients with pituitary disorders.

Additionally, upon completion of this conference, participants should be able to:

  • Manage, medically, a patient following endonasal surgery
  • Summarize diagnosis, and medical therapies for the treatment of Cushing’s and prolactinomas. 
  • Identify and manage perioperative diabetes insipidus and syndrome of antidiuretic hormone. 
  • To have a deeper understanding on prevention, early detection, and treatment of pituitary adenomas and other sellar lesions 
  • Understand the benefits of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of pituitary disease
  • Understand treatment options for hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. 
  • Understand the advantages and limitations of endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary masses.  
  • Discover and analyze advances in technology such as cutting edge neuroimaging for management of patients with pituitary lesions. 
  • Understand the updated tumor markers for pituitary pathology. 
  • Characterize manifestations, diagnostic management approaches and outcomes for patients with pituitary disorders.
  • Identify and understand pituitary complications related to cancer therapies.
