OVERVIEW

This review course is intended for US and international residents and fellows. The course will present the medical and surgical management of musculoskeletal disease. A concentrated focus will be placed on various types of tumors such as bone, osseous, cartilaginous, lipomatous, muscular & neurogenic.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Diagnose musculoskeletal abnormalities
• Define appropriate methods of biopsy and pathology assessment
• Identify which patients are candidates for segmental implants
• Describe the medical, surgical and radiological advances related to musculoskeletal tumors
• Define current therapeutic methods of musculoskeletal tumors
