Overview

The 22nd Annual Cedars-Sinai Educational Meeting in Gastroenterology is a unique continuing medical education virtual activity designed to provide attendees with relevant information regarding new developments in gastroenterology and new approaches to the management of gastrointestinal diseases. A group of national experts will present new findings and guidelines in a clinical context that will be useful in your gastroenterology practice. This two-day virtual activity is intended for gastroenterologists and all other healthcare professionals who treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders. In addition to lecture format presentations, the course will include the following interactive virtual instructional formats: debate and panel discussions, Q & A sessions, case discussions, and interactive video presentations.

Objectives

  2. Discuss management of IBD in pregnancy
  3. Review COVID and COVID vaccination considerations in IBD
  4. Discuss novel treatments and their positioning in IBD treatment
  5. Discuss therapy-related complications in IBD
  6. Review management of microscopic colitis
  7. Present virtual reality as a new clinical tool in GI
  8. Discuss how to improve colonoscopy quality - such as using AI
  9. Discuss updates in endo-bariatrics
  10. Review treatments of pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer screening
  11. Review acute-on-chronic liver failure
  12. Review updates in the management of autoimmune liver diseases
  13. Discuss NASH management in 2021
  14. Review HCC management
  15. Review recent developments in the microbiome as it relates to GI diseases
  16. Review management of constipation
  17. Discuss updates on diagnosis and treatments of eosinophilic esophagitis
  18. Review diagnosis and treatment of fecal incontinence

Accreditation

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 12.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
