Even as many cities are in the midst of reopening, it is clear that uncertainty due to COVID-19 surrounding live events has remained present and persistent. Out of concern for the safety of our AVLS members and Annual Congress attendees, faculty, and exhibitors, AVLS has canceled the in-person aspect of the 2020 Annual Congress in Washington, D.C, and will now host the entire event virtually.

Learning Objectives

  • Evaluate patients with venous and/or lymphatic disease and describe the interconnections of superficial venous, deep venous and lymphatic disease.
  • Assess the treatment goals that patients want to accomplish and the impact of venous and lymphatic disease on a patient’s quality of life.
  • Distinguish between the indications and contraindications of different treatment techniques and technologies.
  • Diagnose and treat lymphedema and phlebolymphedema.
  • Discuss advanced venous and lymphatic diseases and treatments, including wound care and ulcer management.

Target Audience

The primary target audience of the 34th Annual Congress includes physicians, physician assistants, advanced registered nurse practitioners, ultrasound technologists, practice administrators, lymphedema therapists, and all other healthcare professionals currently or planning to care for patients with venous and lymphatic disease.
