The second AnklePlatform Foot & Ankle Arthroscopy Hands-on Course in Shanghai takes place from December 4 – 6, 2019. The course program is a copy of the original Amsterdam Foot & Ankle Course including live surgeries and hands-on sessions. The course is organized by Prof. Niek van Dijk in cooperation with Prof. Yinghui Hua and Prof. Shiyi Chen. This year dr Jorge Batista from Argentina will be our guest faculty. Course venue is the Huashan Hospital for Sports Medicine from the Fudan University Shanghai, equipped with a cadaver lab with excellent facilities.

The program contains a mix of lectures, case discussions, tips and tricks, 3 live surgeries and for each participant a 4 hours hands-on session in the cadaver lab. The course will emphasize the strengths and possibilities of ankle arthroscopy from the perspective “WHY to do it, is as important as HOW to do it”. There will be ample time for exchange and discussion. You are invited to bring your own cases.

AUDIENCE
The Shanghai Course is for orthopedic surgeons who are interested in both new and proven techniques & solutions for acute and chronic ankle problems. This year there will be regular and advanced cadaver lab sessions. The difference between them is the type of procedures that are practiced.

ACCREDITATION
The course is accredited for 16 CME credits (ECMECs) by the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists). Participants who only want to attend the lectures, case discussions and live surgery can make a registration for the ‘course without hands-on’.
