Castellvi Spine is designed for surgeons and non-operative clinicians with specific interest in disorders of the spine. Distinguished faculty will present the latest advances in the field including complex reconstruction, artificial disc replacement, use of biologics, spine biomechanics, management of complications, treatment modalities for osteoporosis, and emerging technologies. There will be ample time for question and answer sessions, as well as special cadaveric labs. 

Target Audience:

Orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgical and neurosurgical assistants including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, orthopaedic nurses and neurosurgical nurses, and medical professionals whose scope of practice includes spine. 

Objectives:

  • Assess and Critique emerging techniques in comparison to current treatment options 
  • Discuss adult deformity and complications 
  • Understand the use of lumbar techniques in spine surgery 
  • Employ useful surgical techniques in total disc replacement surgery 
  • Apply decision making strategies to complex cervical and lumbar degenerative disc disease procedures
