OVERVIEW

CICT would like to welcome you in California on July 26-27,2024 to the 17th Congress on Controversies in Interventional Cardiovascular Therapy.

CICT aims to provide an educational platform based on integration of patient-centered decision-making and the evidence-base in the field of Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine. The conference content is focused on case presentations and open debate format with input from the faculty and attendees. The two-day program will address complex cardiovascular interventional topics that still present a challenge to the clinician with respect to choosing the appropriate therapy and using the optimal technique to ensure the safety and efficacy of the procedure. Our faculty will include key opinion leaders in the field, and we will provide opportunities for meaningful discussions throughout the meeting.

For the first time, CICT congress will run in conjunction with a fellows workshop organized in collaboration with NorthWell. The program is aimed at 1st-year interventional fellows and 3rd-year general cardiology fellows who are interested in interventional cardiology. The workshop will have a unique hands-on approach. Fellows will be guided by leading experts in the field in clinical, technical and conceptual aspects of contemporary basic and advanced interventional cardiology practice.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The CICT workshops have been designed to meet the educational needs of interventional cardiologists, non-invasive cardiologists and cardiology fellows along with cath lab nursestechnicians and other medical professionals who care for patients undergoing catheter-based cardiovascular interventions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate patient-centered, evidence-based decision-making at the individual patient level.
  • Explain the skill set necessary to triage patients with complex coronary and structural heart diseases to surgical vs. endovascular interventions.
  • Discuss cognitive and technical skills to maximize success and reduce complications in complex cardiovascular interventions.
  • Identify best practices to prevent and manage complications in coronary and structural heart disease interventions.
  • Exercise hands-on technical training for percutaneous cardiac structural procedures.

The benefits provided to the attendees are:

  • CME accreditation certificates for speakers, delegates and students
  • Keynote lectures from international faculty
  • Platform for global business and networking opportunities
