OVERVIEW

This activity provides learners with an overview of the use of cryoablation in the treatment of breast cancer. The activity covers the principles of cryoablation, patient selection, procedural techniques, safety and efficacy, and potential complications of the procedure. The goal of this activity is to equip learners with the knowledge necessary to incorporate cryoablation into their clinical practice as a treatment option for breast cancer.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Physicians, radiologists, oncologists, interventional surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents, and fellows will benefit from this course. In-Person and Virtual attendance options are available. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

  • Identify the principles of cryoablation as a treatment option for breast cancer
  • Evaluate patient selection criteria for cryoablation in the context of breast cancer treatment
  • Discuss the procedural techniques, safety and efficacy, and potential complications associated with cryoablation as a treatment option for breast cancer
