  • Review the standard of care practices to prevent and treat a diabetic foot ulcer.

  • Discuss innovations to prevent and treat diabetic foot ulcer.

  • Devise strategies to facilitate follow up care of diabetic foot ulcer to allow healing.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is intended for all health care workers who treat patients with diabetes and diabetic foot ulcers. This includes physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, podiatrists, wound care specialists as well as fellows and residents in the following specialties: Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, Pharmacology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Plastic Surgery, Public Health, Vascular Surgery and Wound Care.
