TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians,  primary care physicians, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, rheumatologists, pain management physicians,  and  physician assistants interested in attaining a foundation in musculoskeletal ultrasound to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal disorders.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

• Identify normal and abnormal ultrasound findings of musculoskeletal anatomy

• When appropriate, utilize ultrasound in the performance of musculoskeletal procedures

• Identify appropriate clinical situations to perform diagnostic ultrasound scans and certain ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures.
