OVERVIEW

The Rheumatoid Arthritis Research Summit, co-hosted by the Arthritis Foundation and the Hospital for Special Surgery, will bring together leading clinical, basic, and translational researchers to share cutting-edge research and the current and future approaches to care for individuals with rheumatoid arthritis. Sessions will focus on uncovering the underlying mechanisms of disease; ensuring that effective treatments are available to all patients; comorbid conditions are managed appropriately; and individuals with RA can more quickly receive the best drug for them. In addition, speakers will discuss how novel digital technologies and large datasets can improve healthcare quality, safety, and outcomes for RA patients. Finally, participants will discuss how best to include RA patients from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds in RA research, both as research participants and partners, to ensure that all patients will benefit from therapeutic advances in treatment.
