Title: Switching Gears from NPH to Basal Bolus Regimens: Lessons from Tanzania and Bangladesh
Time and date: April 16 at 14 CET
Speakers: Dr. Edna Majaliwa, Tanzania and Dr. Bedowra Zabeen, Bangladesh
Chair: Amanda Perkins

About this webinar:

ISPAD guidelines recommend intensive insulin regimens for the treatment of diabetes in children and adolescents. However, an estimated 435,000 people <25 y living with T1D worldwide are believed to be receiving “minimal care” with twice daily injections.  Experts from two countries will discuss the benefits of transitioning to basal bolus insulin regimens along with the challenges and successes in their programs.

The ISPAD's Educational Webinar Series is organized by the E-learning committee on a quarterly basis. For the past several years, as part of ISPAD’s mission to provide free, ongoing education to people around the world who care for children, adolescents, and young adults with diabetes, we have offered a series of 60-minute webinars at approximately 3-month intervals.
