Event info

The 2nd Annual Yale International Rheumatology Symposium is a day-long live Zoom webinar that will consider "reactive arthritis" in the broadest sense. We have recruited internationally recognized expert speakers. Starting with a session on classical reactive arthritis, we will then examine a variety of post-infectious inflammatory diseases, clinically distinct, but sharing potential pathogenetic commonalities. We will end with a consideration of the challenge of "long" COVID" and the role of immune dysfunction in the perpetuation of this illness.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • Review the clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of reactive arthritis
  • Discuss the microbiome and the pathogenesis of post infectious inflammatory disease
  • Manage post-acute COVID syndromes
  • Identify at-risk individuals
  • Discuss pre-autoimmunity and the prevention of rheumatic disease
  • Illustrate knowledge of innovations and advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases
