We devised this during our transition from open to arthroscopic treatment of FAI as a substitute for the direct visual (and palpable) dynamic exam that can be performed with open methods. Although the video only shows femoral osteoplasty, this imaging is equally effective for correcting pincer or mixed impingement. When the c-arm is positioned in the 'rim view' and the maximal femoral deformity is visualized, this is equivalent to the Beta angle of Wyss (Wyss TF, Clark JM, Weishaupt D, Notzli HP.
