The harvest has unique challenges and is very different compared to other autografts. Therefore, it is important to understand key principals and techniques to safely perform this procedure. Obtaining clear visualization and a reproducible technique are important to the success of this operation. As our understanding of the ACL and its associated surgical techniques continue to improve, so must our harvest and procurement of grafts to successfully perform this surgery.
