Course Description: In this live webinar, expert Pediatric Cardiology, Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging, Clinical Cardiology, Adult Congenital Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Surgery - Congenital Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular, Echocardiography, Heart Failure, Interventional Nephrology, Business will present optimal operable techniques and treatment options to address ASPC Update on the New 2018 Cholesterol Guidelines. The webinar features time for interactive audience discussion and surgical case based scenarios.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to discuss:

  1. Discuss major changes in the 2018 AHA/ACC Cholesterol Guidelines from the 2013 guidelines
  2. Apply coronary artery calcium scanning and risk enhancing factors in shared decision making for statin use
  3. Understand the role of non-statin drugs including ezetimibe and PCSK9 for the secondary prevention of ASCVD
  4. Describe the appropriate management of patients with severe hypercholesterolemia (LDL-C ≥190) including family screening
