This technique assists with decreased intraoperative fluoroscopy images, improves surgical times, helps decrease the risk of tunnel convergence issues, and prevents the problem of intra-tunnel placement and superficial IT band placement of the suspensory button. This technique can also facilitate placement of an ALL or LET tunnel while avoiding the ACL tunnel trajectory. The described technique is ideal for isolated ACL reconstructions in skeletally mature patients.
